Tax Break!

Had to take a little break from blogging to get my taxes done! Sure glad I only have to do THAT once a year!!!

Now, on to some good stuff:) My hostess club girls were over to play last Friday right before the big storm hit. Ya know, the one that was suppose to bring us 4-6" and left us with a foot and a half in 12 hours! One of my girls, Dawn, helped me design this first card (one of the perks of her coming over the day before:) She picked the colors to try together. I love how great our color wheel from SU! puts color coordinating at our fingertips!! I personally use that thing every time I begin a project!

Anywho, back to our card:) This one uses the Level 3 Hostess set: Kind and Caring Thoughts. What a great set! It has so many thoughtful sentiments that you just don't find in your average set and the images are soft and sweet. We whipped this card up in about 20 minutes after we chose the colors. It was Dawn's idea to add the little tops of the Almost Amethyst flowers to the cascade of Apricot Appeal flowers on the inside. What a nice touch!

Recipe: Stamps: Kind and Caring Thoughts ; Card Stock: Whisper White(card base), Apricot Appeal, Almost Amethyst; Inks: Apricot Appeal, Almost Amethyst, Perfect Plum, Bashful Blue, Regal Rose; Accessories: Regal Rose ribbon, lg. Oval punch, Scalloped Oval punch.

We also made these cute little Valentine mailboxes. The girls just loved them:) It's hard to craft with chocolate and not eat it, though:) Our SU! punches really make putting cute little heart decorations so fun and easy. The Rose Red paper in the SAB Welcome Neighbor DSP pad was just the right addition to this sweet little treat!

Recipe: Card Stock: Brilliant Blue (1 x 3 1/2", 4 x 1 1/4", 1/4 x 2 1/2"); Designer Series Paper (4 x 1"); Accessories: Heart to Heart punch, Sticky Strip.

Our third project was this adorable Sale-A-Bration card. (Sorry 'bout the shadows in the photo:( I'll be getting a photo box when my refund comes so better pictures are coming soon!) I love how they chose their products to give away this year! The Scalloped Trim punch is just so fun and easy to use:) The Welcome Neighbor DSP has so many cute background theme pages that you can create just about any kind of neighborhood you can imagine.
Using the Good Neighbor Stamp Set in the clear mount was a fun, new experience for some of the girls. One thing to keep in mind with the clear mounts is that the oils from your hands can interfere with adherence, so keep your blocks and image side clean for the best sticking power!

Recipe: Stamps: Good Neighbor SAB, Bella Rose SAB; Card Stock: Really Rust, Tempting Turquoise, Welcome Neighbor DSP SAB; Inks: Chocolate Chip, Tempting Turqoise; Accessories: Scalloped Trim punch SAB, Scalloped Border punch, paper snips, Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, dimensionals.

Thanks for visiting! Don't forget to leave a comment for an entry in this months Blog Candy Giveaway!
