Last Friday Night Stampin' Event at Grace Church

We had a little group last Friday but it was sure a lot of fun! These are 2 things I brought for us to make:)

This first card is actually more like a shadow-box that can mail like a card. How neat is that! I made it for one special friend who has a birthday this month:) Hope she likes it!

I wish I could take credit for the idea but this stroke of brilliance comes from another Stampin' Up! Demonstrator named Barb Mullikan. She did a great video tutorial to make this card almost exactly the way I did.

Recipe: Vintage Vogue Stamp Set; Pale Plum and Whisper White Card Stock; Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, and Kiwi Kiss (retired) Inks; Paper Snips, Button Bouquet (retired), Linen Thread, Silver brads, medium Window Sheet, 1 1/4" Square Punch,Score Pal, Crop-A-Dile, glue dots, dimensionals.

The next little goodie was LOTS of fun to make! The ladies were surprised how much easier this was to make than it looked:) They so enjoyed the cool, new punch($15.95 value) we can get for FREE from the Sale-A-Bration catalog just for having a $50 order.

The template is made from Jenny Moors' great tutorial for an Easel Desk Calendar. Take a look at the side view to see the easel part. What a neat idea that makes a dynamite gift. You can fill the drawer with note paper, 3x3" cards or chocolates, or any other little treasures you might think of. I'm usually a great, big copycat on decorative designs but this one is actually my own:) I just love the Seasons of Friendship Stamp Set!!

Recipe: Seasons of Friendship Stamp Set; Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red, Basic Black, Kraft and Whisper White Card Stock; Ruby Red, Not Quite Navy and Basic Black ink pads; Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie and More Mustard Markers;Scallop Trim Border, 1 1/4" Square, and 1"-1 3/8" Circle Punches; Kraft Corduroy Button brad, Earth Elements brad, Vippie's Calendars.

Thanks, so much, for visiting!!

I have made the easel box but not the shadowbox card. I really need to try that one.
